Ann-Kathrin Wagner

Ann-Kathrin Wagner is head of the divison „biobased economy“ at BioCampus Straubing GmbH, a publicly run business development agency and subsidiary of the Port of Straubing, in Straubing, Bavaria. The BioCampus Straubing GmbH was founded in order to develop the region as well as the port area at the Danube towards a model region for the biobased economy and the sustainable utilization of biomass. Ms. Wagner manages the infrastructural development of the site towards improved attractiveness for the biobased industry, as well as projects focussing innovation transfer, start-up support and internationalization. Ann-Kathrin gained her Bachelor degree in International Cultural and Business Studies at the University of Passau and Växjö University, Sweden. Between her Bachelor and Master, she worked at the EU liasion office of Evonik Industries in Brussels with a focus on renewable energy and resource efficiency topics. In 2013, she graduated with distinction from Utrecht University, Netherlands, after having studied M.Sc. Sustainable Development and Environmental Governance. Since 2021, Ann-Kathrin is member of the Advisory Board for sustainability topics to the City of Straubing.
